Testing process
Drinking water backflow testing is performed by a certified technician using specialized gauges to verify that your backflow preventer is working correctly and protecting the potable water supply. Next, the technician connects test equipment to the device’s test ports and measures pressure changes in each internal section. These readings confirm whether the assembly is preventing contaminated water from flowing backward into the drinking water system. If the device passes, the results are documented for your records and any required city reporting.
